Terms and Conditions
THIS APPLICATION IS AN ASSISTIVE COMMUNITY HEALTH SUPPORT TOOL AND NOT FOR EMERGENCY RESCUE. If a mother, newborn, or community member exhibits critical obstetric or neonatal emergency danger signs (e.g., severe postpartum hemorrhage, convulsions/eclampsia, obstructed labor, severe newborn breathing difficulty, high fever with stiff neck, or severe dehydration), immediately arrange emergency transport to the nearest Birthing Center, Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC), or Hospital, and call Nepal's emergency medical ambulance services (102).
1. Scope of Services Provided
FCHVS Nepal is a digital field register and decision-support companion designed for Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs), Ward Health Coordinators, and community health posts. The platform facilitates maternal antenatal/postnatal tracking, community-based management of childhood illnesses (CB-IMNCI), routine immunization follow-ups, and health commodity inventory management.
All educational prompts, calculation tools (such as EDD or ARI timers), and tracking metrics are intended to reinforce standard Nepal Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) clinical protocols. The app does not replace clinical judgment, nursing diagnosis, or certified physician care.
2. Volunteer Responsibilities & Field Security
Accredited volunteers and health coordinators using this system agree to maintain strict confidentiality of community members' medical information, secure field mobile devices with PINs or biometrics, and prevent unauthorized third parties from accessing active field registers.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of community household records.
- Restricting unauthorized access to mobile devices containing active volunteer sessions.
- Ensuring field sync schedules are conducted when visiting the Health Post.
3. Data Integrity & Field Reporting
The accuracy of ward summaries and HMIS reports depends upon conscientious field entry. Volunteers and health workers agree to record authentic, timely, and verified numbers during home visits and monthly Aama Samuha sessions. Inaccurate entries may lead to miscalculated supply requisitions or distorted ward health assessments.
4. Public Health Intellectual Property
All logos, program materials, and digital workflows are developed to support the public health mission of Nepal's Female Community Health Volunteers under relevant health and local governance frameworks.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Nepal law, the platform administrators, developers, and partner health organizations shall not be held liable for clinical outcomes resulting from transport delays, independent community decisions, or unrecorded emergency conditions.
